Experience
His experience includes management and supervisory roles in banks and companies from several sectors, including banking, IT and transport. From 2000 to 2002, he was President of Optimus S.A., then the largest IT group listed on the Warsaw Stock Exchange. He chaired the Supervisory Board of LOT Polish Airlines, served as Vice-Chairman of the PKP Supervisory Board and was a member of the ZUS Supervisory Board from 2002 to 2004.
As Secretary of State at the Ministry of Industry and Trade, he participated in major restructuring and privatisation projects. He was a member of the European Economic and Social Committee from 2004 to 2025, serving as Vice-President responsible for the budget from 2010 to 2013. In 2013 he was elected President of the EESC Employers’ Group and was re-elected in 2015 and 2017.
He is an adviser to the President of the Polish Confederation Lewiatan, a Polish employers’ organisation affiliated with BusinessEurope.
